I’ve been a role playing game aficionado for more years than I care to remember. My fascination with role playing began way back in the 1980s when I was still in grade school. My best friend Mike taught me how to play Dungeons and Dragons. I suppose most people get involved with the role playing game hobby through D&D, and its no wonder — the game is the grandfather of all role playing and I was hooked from the start. The game — and role playing in general — has changed somewhat throughout the years. Take for instance hybrid dice that gamers can now purchase. Back in my day, players simply used the polyhedral game dice that came with the Dungeons and Dragons boxed set that every kid involved with the hobby owned. Now, with hybrid dice players have more gaming options. Who ever heard of a three-sided die before?
